A privacy policy is a contract that describes how a company retains, processes, publishes and deletes data transmitted by its customers. For example, a website that requires registration to actively participate in its forums should offer such a policy for the personal data entrusted to it: age, gender, level of education, etc.

A privacy policy should usually contain clauses that describe how personal information is stored, how it may be used, the people to whom it may be transmitted, and the protection measures put in place. In the case of websites, it should also indicate whether the site uses cookies.

Some clauses differ from country to country, depending on local laws in force.

This document can either be a document specific to the principal who asks you to sign it or the document of your company if this is the one that your principal expects
